Sony PlayStation 3-The Best Video Game System Ever?

Quite a few critics have said that the PS3 is very highly priced compared to other available Video Games Systems. A few are blown away by the specification of the Sony PlayStation 3. What I and quite a few others thought, well before it was launched, was that it would take some beating and I still believe this to be so! The PlayStation 3 has changed the way the home entertainment and gaming world used to be! Full of features that none of the other consoles have, it really is, despite the high price tag, a must have if you have the cash to spare.

This console is a fantastic system and the hardcore gamers out there will be more than pleased with it.The Ps3 also has the latest in DVD technology, Blu- Ray,which, at the time of writing this review, makes the Sony PlayStation 3 the cheapest Blu-Ray DVD player on the market! Blu-Ray technology gives very high quality, high definition playback, which Sony hopes, will be the standard choice in the future for all DVD production. Don't worry about your old DVD collection because it will also play standard DVD's! The possibilities that Blu-Ray technology offers compared to standard DVD's are exciting to say the least.

The Sony PlayStation 3 has a processer that gives a smoother gaming experience, due to a Cell Broadband processor that wipes the floor with the old single core processor! This, together with the ability of the Blu-Ray discs to store more information for High Definition gaming,allows for gameplay never experienced before!

It also comes with a hard drive as standard.It was launched with two options, a 20GB and a 60GB both removable for easy upgrade and now there is an 80GB version. This has made the Sony PlayStation 3 more accessible, as the 20GB could be purchased at a lower cost and then upgraded later.

The console is also backwards compatible with Ps1 and Ps2 games, enabling the user to play their old favorite games rather than keep their old consoles to play them on.
Sony have plans to utilise the Sony PSP Handheld System with the PlayStation 3, on one or two of the new racing games it can already be used as a rear view mirror!
Gamers that are looking for better quality graphics and sound will not be disappointed. The hardcore gamers will love it for its gaming potential, its ingenuity and its sophistication.

The Sony PlayStation 3 can also be connected, wirelessly or hard wired, to the internet. This is great for dowloading the latest updates and game demo's. Full games can also be downloaded from the Playstation Store.There are also Online Multiplayer Games, of which my own personal favorite is Motorstorm, where you can,with a microphone or Bluetooth handsfree headset connected, communicate with other players while racing!

In my opinion, it is the console to buy, even if it is a little pricey it's well worth it!
